Thinking about reaching out?
Please read this section before messaging!
I encourage everyone I meet, no matter where you live, to get involved in trap-neuter-return based rescue in your own communities: the more we are, the mightier! But what if you’re based in NYC, specifically central Brooklyn, and found a cat, or have questions about how to get started?
My motto tends to be “help me help you”:
Found a single, friendly cat on the sidewalk? Can you bring it inside and put it in your bathroom temporarily, or better yet, can you foster it longer-term?
Got a whole colony of feral cats in your backyard? Can you get them on a feeding schedule, so trapping them can be a quick, easy, trauma-minimizing experience?
I’m just one person who happens to care a lot about the cats in my community, so please know that my resources are limited, but I will do what I can to help if I’m able, or point you in the direction of someone who can (and that someone might very well be you!)
